Cancer Care for Dogs & Cats in Lebanon
Cancer is a disease affecting both animals and humans, impacting the health and longevity of even the healthiest creatures.
The good news is that it can be treated with a number of advanced methods.
Our veterinarians are committed to providing care and treatments for dogs and cats with cancer, and support for the individuals and families that love them. Working closely together with one another and with you, we'll ensure your pet receives the best possible care.
After walking through your pet's medical history and our diagnosis, we will walk you through what a diagnosis and of cancer means for your dog or cat, including staging (additional diagnostics), treatment options and your pet's prognosis.
Staging (Additional Diagnostics)
After a cancer diagnosis, extra diagnostic testing will be conducted in order to help determine the extent of the cancer in your pet's body. This allows our vets to optimize their treatment options and predict your pet's prognosis with more accuracy.
At Cumberland Animal Hospital, we offer in-house, state-of-the-art diagnostic services for the most accurate diagnosis and treatment possible.
Treatment Options
After staging has been completed, our veterinarians will speak with you about all the possible appropriate treatment options.
Cancer is treatable in a number of different ways, called therapies. These are combinations of treatments including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies or palliative care when appropriate.
